Don't Take Life so Seriously

Don’t Take Life Too Seriously

Do you remember what it was like to be a child? Remember how everything you did seemed like an adventure?

I remember my sister and I using couch cushions as platforms to walk on so that we wouldn’t touch the scorching hot lava directly below us. Of course there wasn’t really any lava there, but in the world of my imagination it was there. It was a CHALLENGE getting past it without touching the ground. But more importantly, it was FUN.

You see, what happens to most of us as we get older is we begin to lose our sense of adventure.

We start to see life as a destination rather than a journey

I believe we are incarnated on this planet for us to learn certain lessons that the soul needs to learn; just as we are required to learn certain lessons in school. The body is our vessel for learning and life is the journey we will be travelling through. So why not enjoy ourselves while doing it? Life can be fun and challenging at the same time! :)

In order to thrive in life, you must rewire your thoughts and change your perception.

The key is to find enjoyment or learn something from EVERYTHING that happens to you. Typically we are either seeking pleasure or understanding. Then there are those magical moments when we experience bliss and understanding simultaneously. This is often in the form of “a-ha” moments when learning something new.

These moments are important because, as humans, we never stop learning. The more eye-opening moments we have, the more we grow, thus opening the door to an endless array of opportunities.

If you learn to live life through the eyes of a child life will take on a whole new meaning..

So what happens when we take life too seriously?

We overlook the positive aspects of our lives. We get mad at ourselves instead of laughing at ourselves. We only see the bad in our situation instead of the good.

When considering our choices, we can either see through optimistic eyes or pessimistic eyes. If you want to see life in a more fun and adventurous way, it is important to see the good in everything. So put on your optimistic eyes and let your childlike self come shining through. But know that optimism isn’t just a thought; it is a lifestyle. Find joy and laughter in any situation and you will always come out victorious!

I understand that life throws us many curveballs that we aren’t prepared for and we will probably not always going to be happy-go-lucky. But even when we have our down moments, it is important to know our WHY and pick ourselves back up so that we can continue moving forward towards our dreams.

Throughout my life I have become more appreciative of the difficult times I go through because that is where all of the lessons are learned.

“Successful people know that success is a poor teacher. Learning comes from makng mistakes.” ~ Robert Kiyosaki

Hack of the day: Don’t Concern Yourself with the Opinion of Others

Oftentimes in life, we get so caught up in the opinions of others that we forget about the most important aspect of all: our own opinion.

Only you know the story behind everything you do. Behind every smile, no one will know the pain you have endured. We all have difficult moments in our lives that make us who we are today. More often than not people feel like they know what is going on in your life.

This often leads to misbeliefs in who you are, based on other people’s beliefs that they have about themselves and the world around them. They don’t see possibilities, and they convince you that you shouldn’t either. So you listen to the naysayers and your dreams slowly fade into a distant memory…

The reason so many people aren’t living their dreams is probably because a prominent influence in their lives told them that their dreams weren’t possible… and they believed them.

Growing up, we are conditioned to impress others. We must dress nicely at school so we don’t get made fun of. We have to wear nice clothes to an interview if we wish to get the job. We also have to look good if we wish to attract a mate.

All of these things base your actions on how others think about you. We should learn to let go of the attachment we have to our self-image and start to see life just as we did when we were children. Freedom begins to enlighten our path, and everything seems brighter.

When you learn to love yourself and never be ashamed of who you are, you will see life in a completely different way. The opinions of others will weigh zero gravity on your mind and you will be set free from the mental chains of the opinion of others.

Freedom is only a mindset away

May infinite light shine upon you, revealing your path to eternal bliss. Remember, all the answers we seek are only found inside of us, so don’t be afraid to go within. Love and unity to you all <3
